Life at 24… Ready for More!

Birthdays seem to come faster and faster each year. Anyone else feel the same? How am I 24, just yesterday I was still in college, high school. 2009 was 10 years ago. Time flies when you’re having fun I guess!

Truly, I am never the girl who wants to make an entire month out of the day I was born. I just love to know people care about me- a card in the mail is one of my favorite things to get! And of course, spending the day with people I love.

This year, I have high expectations for myself. If you asked me if I thought I would be sitting in my home office today writing this blog as a full time entrepreneur, I probably would’ve said no. But life had other plans for me- in the best way possible!

So many of my friends who are in their mid twenties agree that it is such a crazy and transitional time of life. You start to reach your dreams that you wanted to get to as a kid, or you start to realize you need to go after those dreams. Some of your friends will leave your life, and new ones who have similar aspirations come into your life. You’re either single, or probably at getting ready to be engaged to your significant other.

I’ll leave my 24 year old self a note- for when I look back on this blog in 2020, 24 is going to be a good year for you, keep your head up and your goals set high!

Thank you to all the people who constantly make me a better version of myself and for all the birthday love!

Thankful Thoughts!

Every year at Thanksgiving the time comes around where I truly start to feel thankful for every little thing.  When I was younger, I always liked Thanksgiving for the food, but waited for Christmas because that was the ‘better’ holiday- with gifts.

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized that it’s a million tiny things that make Thanksgiving one of the best holidays. My family’s table has gotten smaller throughout the years as loved ones have passed on. And so many things have changed especially this year.

The traditions that my family has taught me growing up, will stay forever though. Like waking up the day before Thanksgiving knowing that I’ll be spending the afternoon cutting apples, making pumpkin pie’s, getting the stuffing ready, and watching my mom prep the turkey.  It’s so easy to remember the days where my grandma was able to make pies with us, but now it’s become a job for my mom and me.  We quote classic family disputes, conversations and my dad even keeps our Hungarian prayer before we eat dinner.

In these coming years,  I know that my family’s table will start to grow, with new family members, and friends to share the day with!  Spending time with the people that matter most,  is truly what this holiday is all about!  Of course, you also have to eat way too much turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes!

In 2018, I’ve been thankful for so many things.  Being able to spend the day with my mom, dad, brother, and sister in law is seriously one of the biggest blessings in itself!  Sometimes, we get so caught up in the day today that we forget what the big picture is. I have a especially learned these past 11 months that putting yourself first, and your dreams first is the most important thing to do! I wouldn’t of been able to do it without the support of all of them!

November has been a big month for me, and as most of you know I went full-time as an entrepreneur with my business! It’s been a change, in the best way possible!  As I’ve transitioned into this role, I’ve planned big things for my blog in these upcoming months!

To all of my readers, I’m so thankful for you! And I can’t wait to see where this new adventure brings me!

Finding Faith- The Start

Coming back from a vacation that refuels you is one of my favorite reasons to go on vacation in the first place. (That and my never satisfied travel bug that’s been in me for the past 2 years)

I feel so ready to make the last 3 months of 2018 really count for the better, and make some big changes in my life that I have been working on for a long time.

Going to Florida always gives me so much energy, happiness, and pushes me to do better. I’m almost always going down to visit some of my best friends, to better my business, take a break and relax in the sun, or heading down to a conference. My current obsession with Sarasota has made me seriously think about a move!

This past weekend, I was able to ‘Come To The Table,’ at Bayside Community Church and work on one of the hardest relationships in my life- my faith. When I heard about the all womens’ Fatih conference in June, something was pulling at my heart to go.

My relationship with my Fatih is something that I’ve been wanting to work on for awhile. Growing up, my parents were not strict with us attending church, but always kept spiritual values in our family. My dad has a very strong relationship with God, and I always felt that I struggled with mine. I was not as connected as he was, but I also didn’t realize at the time- everyone has a different relationship with their faith. IMG_0846

Standing in a room filled with hundreds of women, all worshiping together was so fulfilling for me. Church in New England is so different than services down south, and any chance I have to go I love to take.

The energy in church this weekend was eye opening to me. I saw how other women bring faith int every day life and their business. I was able to understand why some women feel so connected- while others are still figuring out their beliefs.

My biggest take away- make time for coffee with the lord like you would make time with a friend. Let him sit at your table with you- one on one. Your relationship with your faith is yours and yours alone. Everyone is different and that is okay.

“For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow,” James 1: 2-4

Are you working on your faith? I would love to learn how you worship!

Get to Know Me!

As I’m sitting at my computer writing this first post- I keep thinking back to all of the other blogs and stories I’ve shared over the years. Blogging is something that I’ve always loved to do- but I grew out of my last blogging adventure after college. I’m sure we’ve all been there, and done that. You may think that your Tumblr, old WordPress, Instagram profile, or website, will last forever but then the project slowly slips out of your fingers.

I decided that it was truly time to start writing again and sharing all of the exciting things that are going on in my life.

I love to get to know bloggers when I decide to follow them. What made them start to blog? What else do they do in life? And of course- how do their posts always come out so perfectly?

So a little bit about me…

Welcome Back!

Know this one great truth: you are in control of your own life. You get one and only one chance to live, and life is passing you by. Stop beating yourself up, and dang it, stop letting others do it too. Stop accepting less than you deserve. Stop buying things you can’t afford to impress people you don’t even really like. Stop eating your feelings instead of working through them. Stop abusing your body and your mind. Stop! Just get off the never-ending track.
