Show Me The Money- Call with CNO Pam Sowder

Happy Friday everyone!

I am so excited to share this video with you! On Monday I was given the opportunity to get onto a Facebook live with It Works’ Chief Networking Officer Pam Sowder! Pam is such an inspiration to so many women in this business, and she started with the company from the ground up.

I was able to share my story, business building tips, and motivation for everyone that is apart of our amazing company and anyone thinking of joining!

Being able to share my story to help others is something that is so important to me. We all start at square one. No matter what your dream is, you aren’t an expert the day that you decide to start! There will always be seasons of learning, and times that it can be hard.

I think a lot of people forget that it’s okay to be a beginner. A lot of people think the road to success is a straight shot. And knowing that over the past years there has been a lot of seasons of winning for me, there’s also been times that are hard!

It’s not easy to do what we do. If it was, everyone would be doing it! But it is simple. It comes down to deciding that you are going to use this business for what it is, an amazing opportunity! What we do is simple. We’re influencers of amazing products, building our lives and business around that!

But on top of that, we are able to meet amazing women and help them reach their goals, and that is truly my favorite part. It’s not about me, it’s about all of you. It’s about all of the women who are building up other women! When you start to see what network marketing truly is, you’ll be kicking yourself that you didn’t decide to start sooner!

Let me know what you thought of my call, and if you ever want business advice, or to learn more about what I do, I’m an instagram DM away!

It’s Okay to be Running Your Own Race

One of the most popular questions people ask me all the time, is- “How are you so successful at a young age?” First, thank you so much to all the people who see my life as a success. Second, I believe that my success in life is just get started, that many more adventures and business opportunities are coming.

So the short answer, I dream every single day. I never want to settle. When I am not reaching my goals, I push myself harder daily in order to get there. But most importantly, I am aware that I am running my own race. So many people want to be exactly like the people they look up to. It’s great to have mentors and people you strive to be, but girl, you are your own person! Comparison will kill your dreams.

Don’t compare yourself to someone in their winning season, because you may have not seen them in their losing season.

Last year, I completely lost sight of who I was for a long time. My business was failing because of it, my life was falling apart, and the only thing that was doing well was my social life. I would wake up some mornings and be so mentally and physically exhausted I wouldn’t even make it out the door. I told myself that there had to be a breaking point, that things would get better. What’s funny? Is not too many people knew that I had cried myself to sleep, skipped dinner but not drinks. As a college grad, single woman, and adult on my own I was struggling… hard.

That was my losing season.

I kept running, I pushed myself to do better. When I started to do better for myself, eat healthy, go to bed before 2am, and force myself to work on my dreams, little by little I was back in my race.

Was it hard to see some of my friends get new jobs, promote, move out of my home state, and get engaged, yes! But imagine if I gave up because of what other people were up to? You can be silent with your dreams and work hard until you reach them, it doesn’t have to be all over your social media. The important part, is not stopping. If you think that an opportunity is worth it, through the tough times and the easy, you will keep up with it.

Do I think that I am in a winning season? Right now, yes. I wake up every single day with a smile on my face doing something I love, with so many people who support me. To the people that don’t, that’s okay. Because inside and out I am happy.

This is YOUR life, your race, and you are the only one running it. So get up every single day and try to make yourself proud! I’ll be cheering you on.

Thankful Thoughts!

Every year at Thanksgiving the time comes around where I truly start to feel thankful for every little thing.  When I was younger, I always liked Thanksgiving for the food, but waited for Christmas because that was the ‘better’ holiday- with gifts.

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized that it’s a million tiny things that make Thanksgiving one of the best holidays. My family’s table has gotten smaller throughout the years as loved ones have passed on. And so many things have changed especially this year.

The traditions that my family has taught me growing up, will stay forever though. Like waking up the day before Thanksgiving knowing that I’ll be spending the afternoon cutting apples, making pumpkin pie’s, getting the stuffing ready, and watching my mom prep the turkey.  It’s so easy to remember the days where my grandma was able to make pies with us, but now it’s become a job for my mom and me.  We quote classic family disputes, conversations and my dad even keeps our Hungarian prayer before we eat dinner.

In these coming years,  I know that my family’s table will start to grow, with new family members, and friends to share the day with!  Spending time with the people that matter most,  is truly what this holiday is all about!  Of course, you also have to eat way too much turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes!

In 2018, I’ve been thankful for so many things.  Being able to spend the day with my mom, dad, brother, and sister in law is seriously one of the biggest blessings in itself!  Sometimes, we get so caught up in the day today that we forget what the big picture is. I have a especially learned these past 11 months that putting yourself first, and your dreams first is the most important thing to do! I wouldn’t of been able to do it without the support of all of them!

November has been a big month for me, and as most of you know I went full-time as an entrepreneur with my business! It’s been a change, in the best way possible!  As I’ve transitioned into this role, I’ve planned big things for my blog in these upcoming months!

To all of my readers, I’m so thankful for you! And I can’t wait to see where this new adventure brings me!

MondayMotivation

Some of My Favorite #MondayMotivation

Mondays can be tough. Whether you’re a full time entrepreneur, work a 9-5, or work a few jobs, Monday is always the reset of the work week!

This morning I woke up and all I wanted to do was stay in bed for the morning and push all of my work off until ‘later.’ But, we all know that the words “I’ll do it later,” mean I am putting this off until I actually have to do it- or just put it off forever!

I had to find a way to start my week off with as much energy as I ended my week, so I turned to self motivation! It could be a podcast (my current obsession is the Jennifer Allwood show!), book, or video.

For those of you that haven’t read Girl Wash Your Face… Get. This. Book. Get it right now! I have to say that it has been a game changer for me! And a chapter a day to start the morning has been the perfect way to start the day! I’ve also been reading Mastering Your Inner Mean Girl, and Leave Your Mark!

If books aren’t really your thing (I get it who has time to read!) Videos might be your go to! I’ve tried to stop the mindless scroll on all my social and change it to something meaningful- follow Tony Robbins, Grant Cardone, or Rachel Hollis for some quick videos.

My all time favorite go to is: The video EVERY woman should watch! from Rachel Hollis’ page!

Sometimes it can take just a few minutes to turn your entire day around! You have the power to do that. Know that even on those days that you don’t feel your best- your hustle can’t stop!

What are some of your favorite ways to start your week off? And share some of your favorite self motivation in the comments! 🙂

Happy Monday everyone!

So You’ve Been Meaning To Try ‘It’…

About a year ago, I was not only holding myself back with my business, but also my life. I wasn’t where I wanted to be and I was going through a tough breakup. At that point I didn’t feel like myself anymore. On top of not being mentally healthy, I was also the heaviest I had ever been in my life.

I kept telling myself that I was going to be better the next day, the next week, oh next month will be better. But nothing was even remotely close to where I wanted it to be. I decided I needed to take smaller steps to become a little better every day, and it was not easy. Sometimes I could take a step forward to take 10 steps back.

Nothing drastic happened overnight. It was a lot of little things that I slowly started to do that added up to me realizing that I was happy again. It’s taken almost a year. But step by step I’m making it there.

One of the many ‘little’ things that I added to my week was ballet. My mom asked me if I wanted to do an adult ballet class with her, she ALWAYS wanted to take ballet as a kid but never took a class in her life. How could I not support my mom and learn ballet with her? I used to be a dancer when I was younger, and I can tell you that I am NOT the best at it.

But I love it. During those weeks that I would barely want to get out of bed it was my stress reliever, exercise, and I always left with a smile on my face. After my first class of trying to remember all of the positions, French terms, and slipping my ballet shoes off my feet- I felt myself crying because I was so happy.

It was as simple as that. Adding that one little thing into my week. That change in my schedule fueled me to try more little by little, day by day. I can’t go a week now without scheduling a dance class in.

That was the beginning of my year of trying new things and really stepping out of my comfort zone. It was my choice for me, to make myself happier.

You’ve been meaning to try that new diet, you’ve been meaning to go to that new gym or try that new class, you’ve been meaning to start your new blog… but you don’t.

I seriously ask myself all the time, WHY aren’t you doing that thing that you said you were going to do two months ago. I can think of a million reasons (not very good ones) why I put things off. And then I start, and wonder why I haven’t been doing ‘it’ for months.

We’re all guilty of this pattern over and over. I wish I could tell you a way to break it, but procrastination is just too easy!

What I can tell you- is to go out and give it a try. Maybe this blog today is your reason to finally make that change!

Never apologize for being yourself- Alexa

Never Apologize for Being Yourself

“I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day, and I believe in miracles.” -Audrey Hepburn

Being yourself can sometimes be the hardest thing to do. It’s so easy to decide to fit into the mold of everyone else, follow what they are doing, and live life in the main stream.

From personal experience growing up, I always wanted to be this way too. I wanted to wear what was in style, listen to all of the music that everyone else was listening to, and follow the trends of the ‘popular’ girls. It’s easy to want to reach to be someone who isn’t yourself.

This past year, I really decided to change that mindset in myself. When I graduated college I realized that none of that mattered. No seriously- listen to me, it does not matter. I think that we all need to stop making it so hard for people to go outside of the norm. Continue reading

Welcome Back!

Know this one great truth: you are in control of your own life. You get one and only one chance to live, and life is passing you by. Stop beating yourself up, and dang it, stop letting others do it too. Stop accepting less than you deserve. Stop buying things you can’t afford to impress people you don’t even really like. Stop eating your feelings instead of working through them. Stop abusing your body and your mind. Stop! Just get off the never-ending track.
